Christo Roux

Christo Roux is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting. Christo is a member of the Corporate Finance practice and is based in Cape town.

Christo leads FTI Consulting’s Business Transformation Services for Africa and has industry expertise in oil and gas and fast-moving consumer goods (“FMCG”). He has more than 15 years of experience in providing business turnaround, operational improvements and efficiency services to both public and private sector clients.

Christo started his career at Big Four audit and advisory firm KPMG, where he held the position of regional lead partner of the Management Consulting business unit. He also led the firm’s oil and gas industry cross-functional team. After KPMG, Christo joined EY, where he was in charge of the regional advisory services business unit and the Sub-Saharan oil and gas teams.

Christo holds a B.Acc. in Accountancy with Honors from the University of Stellenbosch, a M.Acc. in Accountancy with a focus on taxation from the University of Stellenbosch and a Diploma in Foundations in Oil and Gas from the IBC Academy.

Christo is a Chartered Accountant (“CA”) and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (“SAICA”), as well as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (“CSCP”).

Relevant Experience:

• Implemented supply chain improvements, aligning manufacturing with demand, reducing erratic behaviour and cutting inventory
• Led supply chain mapping and redesign, incorporating new customs taxes and enhancing efficiency
• Conducted root cause analysis, overhauled deficient supply chains and optimised routes to market
• Facilitated board sessions to strategise feedstock approach and advised on oil and gas farm outs
• Guided gas-to-power projects, developing tariff structures implementation
• Transformed finance, managed restructuring and directed feasibility studies for petroleum storage in South Africa
• Designed models for divestment, optimised lubricant supply routes and provided customs services
• Oversaw depot/terminal processes, updated cost databases and revamped operations
• Delivered multidisciplinary business process transformation projects assessing and redesigning business processes at its refinery, lubes and commercial fuel operations
